Light globes, including 120W incandescent bulbs, cannot be placed in your kerbside recycling bin. These items contain materials that aren’t processed through the standard recycling stream and may contaminate the recycling of other glass items.

In the ACT, incandescent globes like yours can be placed in your general waste bin. Please double-wrap the globe in newspaper or other padding to prevent breakage and for safe disposal.

Alternatively, you can check with your local council or nearby hardware stores to see if they offer any special recycling programs for light globes.
