Older computer monitors with CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) technology contain hazardous materials like lead and should never be placed in kerbside recycling bins. While LCD monitors are less hazardous, they still require proper disposal. Both CRT and LCD monitors can be recycled safely through dedicated e-waste facilities, but electronic waste should never go into kerbside bins.
