Desitin, like many other ointments and creams, typically comes in a plastic tube or container that is not recyclable through your home kerbside recycling bin. These containers are often made from mixed materials or flexible plastics that kerbside systems can’t process.

Please dispose of empty Desitin tubes or containers in your general waste bin. If the product is not finished, avoid pouring it down the drain and check with your local council if there are any special disposal programs for chemical or pharmaceutical waste.
