Thank you for contacting us and providing downlight photos with your enquiry. It’s great you contacted us with this question – electrical equipment contains potentially hazardous and valuable materials which don‘t belong in landfill so it’s important they are disposed of properly.

Downlights can not be disposed of in any of your kerbside bins. Light globes, tubes and electronic components can’t be processed through the kerbside system and contaminate the recycling process.

Our team has completed a check on your behalf, in your local council area downlights are accepted for recycling at the following locations:

• Cessnock Library - 65-67 Vincent St, Cessnock
• Kurri Kurri Library - Cnr Lang & Allworth Streets, Kurri Kurri
