Empty oil containers like this one are not recyclable in your home kerbside recycling bin because they are the wrong shape and size to be processed. Most material recovery facilities are not equipped to process larger plastic containers like these.

As the container once contained motor oil, this tells us the container is not permitted in ANY of your other kerbside bins either. Incorrect disposal of flammable chemicals like these can result in soil and water contamination and pose health and safety risks to the people handling the waste.
