Hand wash bottle pumps are not recyclable in your home kerbside recycling bin because they are comprised of mixed materials, i.e. metal and plastic that are not easily separated. The metal in the pump would contaminate the plastic recycling stream and vice versa.
Cosmetic bottle pumps can be disposed in your general waste bin.
