How does the app work if my bins are different to my neighbours?

Different bin systems can be assigned to a council, such as  when a Council is rolling out new bins or if people living in units have different bin options. The first time you use Recycle Mate you are prompted to select your bin system, so you receive the correct information.  You can also ask Recycle Mate to add new bins if your bin system isn't listed - this step is part of keeping app data up-to-date, you might be helping a mate find their bins! If geolocation is turned on each time you move location you will be asked to confirm your bins again.
