Fun fact, you can perform a rip test to determine if the paper packaging is purely paper or contains any plastic.
If the paper can be ripped easily, it is most likely recyclable, if not then it may contain plastic which can not be separated in the recycling process. Wax coatings can also prevent paper from being recyclable in your kerbside recycling bin.
