Polyester can be a bit tricky since it’s a synthetic fibre that doesn’t break down easily and can’t be recycled through your kerbside bins.
If donating, selling, or re-using it isn’t an option, the next best choice is your garbage bin. But before you toss it, consider repurposing it — pet bedding, soft toys, or DIY cushions and pillows are great ways to give it a second life.
Not feeling crafty? No worries — try posting it on Gumtree, Facebook Marketplace, or a local community group. You might be surprised how many people are eager to take useful materials off your hands, especially in bulk.
