Polyester quilts can often be donated to animal shelters, veterinary clinics, or wildlife rehabilitation centres where they are used as bedding for animals. We appreciate your question and have recommended adding these donation options to the Recycle Mate app.

If donating isn’t an option, you will need to dispose of the quilt in your general waste bin. Please ensure it fits inside your bin with the lid closed, as this is required for collection. If it’s too large, you may need to take it to your local waste facility for disposal.
