If your shoes are still in good condition and suitable for resale, use Recycle Mate to find a charity shop or other location nearby accepting donations.

If the shoes are not in good condition, they may still be recyclable! Athletic shoes, thongs, and some other types of footwear can be accepted at dedicated collection boxes at many retail locations across Australia. Use the search function on Recycle Mate to check if your shoes qualify for recycling at a nearby drop-off point.

Lastly, if the shoes cannot be worn again or are not accepted for recycling, they can be placed in your general waste bin. Keep checking Recycle Mate as recycling programs continue to expand and new drop-off locations are added!
