Hi Karina,
Thank you for your recycling enquiry about stainless steel bottles.
Stainless steel bottles are not accepted in your kerbside recycling bin because the kerbside system is designed to process everyday packaging like bottles and containers made of glass, plastic, and aluminum. Stainless steel items require specialized recycling facilities.
If your stainless steel bottle is still in good condition, consider donating it or selling it secondhand. Otherwise, you can take it to a local scrap metal recycler or a recycling drop-off point that accepts stainless steel items.
If you provide your suburb or council area, we can help locate the nearest recycling facility for stainless steel.
Thank you for reaching out to Recycle Mate. Please get in touch anytime if you have further questions.
Thanks Murphy
