Tile tags are not accepted in any of your kerbside bins.

Tile tags and other electronic equipment contain potentially hazardous and valuable materials that don’t belong in landfill and are not able to be recovered through most kerbside recycling systems.

To ensure the valuable metals inside are safely recovered check Recycle Mate to find your closest drop-off point accepting electronic waste – there are thousands of locations across Australia collecting portable chargers and other ewaste items.

Use the search function and type in “charger” to find drop-off locations in your local area; in the interim our team will add “tile tag” to the Recycle Mate database to help others in future.
