VHS/ video cassette tapes can not be disposed of in your kerbside recycling bin. Your kerbside recycling system is designed to handle your everyday packaging waste like bottles, jars and containers, so other plastic household items are unable to be processed.

If you have pre-recorded VHS movies in their original casing that are still in good condition use Recycle Mate to find a charity shop or other location nearby accepting donations for similar items.

If your VHS tapes are not in good condition or broken they will need to be placed in your general waste bin.
