Weed trimmer line is not recyclable in your recycling bin at home. The kerbside recycling system is designed to process your everyday packaging waste like disposable bottles and jars, so other plastic household items are unable to be processed.

Also, loose weed trimmer line would likely get wrapped around other items and machinery at the recovery facility and could potentially damage equipment.

We have not identified any away-from-home recycling options, so please dispose of weed trimmer line in your general waste bin.
