The pavlova magic egg cup is made of plastic no. 3 (PVC/vinyl) which is not recyclable in most kerbside recycling systems. The kerbside recycling system is designed to handle your everyday packaging waste like disposable bottles and jars, however, not all plastic household items are able to be processed.
The plastic identification triangle has an unfortunate resemblance to the recycling mobius symbol. However, it only refers to the type of plastic (codes 1-7) which can be used to determine its local recyclability. To prevent contamination in the recycling stream it’s best to place the pavlova magic egg cup into your general waste bin.
